a. Furstendömet Nordmark är en del av The Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., här kallad SCA. SCA är en ideell organisation inriktad på studier av medeltiden och renässansen. SCA:s Articles of Incorporation återfinns i The SCA, Inc. Organizational Handbook.	a. The Principality of Nordmark is a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism, Inc., here called the SCA. The SCA is a non-profit organisation devoted to the study of the Middle Ages and Renaissance. The SCA Articles of Incorporation can be found in the SCA, Inc. Organizational Handbook.
b. Inom SCA används adliga och kungliga titlar. Vi gör inte anspråk på dessa titlar utanför SCA, inte heller på några landområden. SCA är politiskt och religiöst obundet.	b. Noble and royal titles are used in the SCA. We do not use these, or make any claim to them, outside our Society. We claim no power over any territory. We do not endorse any specific religion or political ideology.
2. Nordmarks territorium	2. The territory of Nordmark
a. Furstendömet Nordmark omfattar samma landområde som det nutida kungadömet Sverige.	a. The Principality of Nordmark encompasses the same territory as the modern Kingdom of Sweden.
3. Nordmarks språk	3. The language of Nordmark
a. Furstendömet Nordmarks lagar skall finnas på svenska och engelska. Den svenska och den engelska versionen av lagen skall skrivas på ett sådant sätt att de inte kan tolkas olika. ändringar i lagen skall göras samtidigt i båda versionerna, så att ingen konflikt föreligger mellan dem.	a. The laws of the Principality of Nordmark will be written in Swedish and English in such a way that the two versions cannot be interpreted differently. Any changes to the law will be made simultaneously to both versions so that no conflict will exist between the two versions at any time.
b. Om ett dokument gäller något som berör utländska SCA-grupper eller organ eller om det kommer att skickas till SCA-grupper utanför Sverige skall det översättas till engelska.	b. If a document concerns foreign branches or organisations in the SCA or will be sent to branches of the SCA outside Sweden, it shall be translated into English.
c. Vid hov och möten i Nordmark kan givetvis valfritt språk talas, enligt de närvarandes önskan. Om något annat än svenska talas, skall kungörelser om Nordmarks lagar och utnämningar också göras på svenska.	c. Any language may of course be spoken at events and courts in Nordmark, according to the wishes of those present. If a foreign language is spoken, proclamations concerning Nordmark's laws and appointments shall also be made in Swedish.
4. Nordmarks lagar	4. The laws of Nordmark
a. Lagarna har företräde i följande ordning: Svea Rikes Lag, övriga svenska lagar och förordningar, The By-Laws and Corpora of the SCA, Governing and Policy Decisions of the Board of Directors of the SCA, Kungadömet Drachenwalds Lag, beslut av Drachenwalds Kronor (gällande under deras regeringstid), Furstendömet Nordmarks Lag, och beslut av Nordmarks furstepar (gällande under deras regeringstid).	a. The order of precedence for laws in Nordmark is: The Law of the Kingdom of Sweden , other Swedish laws and statutes, The By-Laws and Corpora of the SCA, Governing and Policy Decisions of the Board of Directors of the SCA, the Law of the Kingdom of Drachenwald, Decisions of the Crown of Drachenwald (binding for the duration of the current reign), the Law of the Principality of Nordmark and the decisions of the Coronet of Nordmark (binding for the duration of the current reign).
b. Nordmarks lagar stiftas av fursteparet, med kungaparets samtycke. Lag och lagändringar skall framläggas för Tinget. Tinget kan med majoritetsröst inlägga veto mot föreslagna lagar. Om två på varandra följande furstepar framlägger samma oförändrade lagförslag, och Tinget båda gånger inlägger veto, skall lagförslaget skickas till kungaparet, tillsammans med argumenten för och emot. I dessa fall avgör kungaparet om ändringen skall genomföras. Om ändringar är nödvändiga på grund av ändringar i Corpora eller Drachenwalds lag kan dessa ändringar genomföras av furstepar och drots utan att Ting kallas. Tinget kan inte inlägga veto mot sådana ändringar.	b. Laws for Nordmark are made by the Coronet, subject to approval by the Crown. Law and lawchanges must be presented before the Ting. The Ting can, by a majority vote, veto law proposals. If two subsequent Coronets present the same unchanged law proposal and the Ting both times vetoes it, the law proposal shall be sent to the Crowns of Drachenwald, with the arguments for and against it. In these cases, the Crown will decide whether the proposal shall be passed. If changes are necessary due to changes in Corpora or Drachenwald law those changes can be made by the Coronet and seneschal without calling a Ting. The Ting can not veto such changes.
c. Lagen träder i kraft efter det att den publicerats i kungariket Drachenwalds tidning och i furstendömet Nordmarks tidning samt lästs upp vid ett furstendömeshov.	c. A law takes effect after it has been published in The Kingdom of Drachenwald Newsletter and the newsletter of the Principality, and proclaimed at a Principality court.
d. Furstendömets drots är ansvarig för att lagen årligen trycks och görs tillgänglig för folket till självkostnadspris. Om färre än tre ändringar gjorts är det tillräckligt att lägga i ett blad med rättelser i den gamla lagboken. Om inga ändringar gjorts, och det finns gamla lagböcker kvar, är det inte nödvändigt att trycka nya. Publiceringsdatum måste inkluderas i lagboken och på blad med rättelser. Samtliga lagar som inte ingår i denna publikation är ogiltiga.	d. The Seneschal of the Principality is responsible for annually having the law printed and made available to the populace at printing and postage cost. If fewer than three alterations have been made, it is sufficient to insert a sheet with corrections into the old book of laws. If nothing has been altered, and old law books remain, printing a new book is not required. The date of publication must be included in the book of law and on any revision sheets. All Nordmark laws not included in this annual publication are considered repealed.
5. Furstendömets evenemang	5. Principality events
a. Furstendömets evenemang är Tinget och Furstetornering med Investitur..	a. The Principality events are the Ting, and the Coronet Tourney with Investiture.
b. Furstendömets evenemang kan hållas i samband med andra traditionella Nordmarksevenemang. Om datum för kungadömets evenemang är kända, skall den som är ansvarig för ett furstendömesevenemang se till att de inte infaller samma dag som kungadömesevenemangen.	b. Principality events may be held in conjunction with other traditional Nordmark events. If the times for royal events are known, the gentle responsible for a Principality event shall make sure that it does not coincide in time with any royal event.
